17 year old Reeks from South Wales made waves with her writing after posting her story, The Kissing Booth, a chapter at a time online - using the pseudonym Beth Reekles.

Picking up more than 40,000 followers, she was awarded the Most Popular Teen Fiction Award by writing website Wattpad and has now signed a three-book deal, with her debut offering in talks for a film adaptation. Reeks's inspiration for the American high school romance, about a girl who falls for her best friend's brother, came after she became tired of the fact the only books aimed at her age group were about vampires and werewolves.
